Conscious organization is approached as a temporally structured interaction of processes rather than as the activity of a single persistent cognitive centre.

EIDAWARE investigates how temporary configurations can emerge, stabilize, interact and constrain subsequent states.

Synthetic subjectivity

EIDAWARE examines whether properties associated with a situated cognitive perspective can emerge from a sufficiently organized synthetic system.

Particular attention is given to perspectivity, temporal continuity, affective modulation and internally generated directionality.

Conditional dynamics

The project focuses not only on which cognitive processes exist, but on the conditions under which they become active, interact and influence what can occur next.

This allows cognitive organization to be studied in terms of trajectories rather than isolated states.

Multiscale organization

EIDAWARE investigates how processes operating at different temporal and functional scales can constrain one another without assuming that any single descriptive level exhausts conscious organization.

Functional, affective, attentional, mnemonic and narrative dynamics can therefore be examined as partially distinct but interacting levels of organization.

Experimental synthetic cognition

Formal hypotheses are progressively translated into computational architectures.

Implementation is used as an experimental method: it makes assumptions explicit, exposes inconsistencies and allows the dynamics and limits of a proposed organization to be tested.

Simulation and realization

A central open problem concerns the difference between reproducing the functional signatures associated with consciousness and realizing the organization that could be relevant to consciousness itself.

EIDAWARE treats this distinction as an unresolved research problem rather than assuming an answer in advance.
