Architecture
EIDAWARE develops an experimental cognitive architecture in which several dimensions commonly associated with conscious organization can be modelled as interacting processes.
These dimensions are not treated as independent modules whose simple combination would produce consciousness. The research question concerns the dynamic organization that emerges from their interaction.

Processes through which previous states constrain present processing and contribute to temporal and autobiographical continuity.
03 — Affective modulation

Dynamic valuation and salience mechanisms capable of modifying the probability, priority and trajectory of subsequent processing.
04 — Intentional organization
Intentional organization
Processes through which tendencies, priorities and internally generated directions can influence the evolution of the system.
05 — Symbolic mediation
Symbolic mediation
Mechanisms capable of stabilizing, reorganizing and recombining cognitive configurations through conceptual and symbolic structures.
Architecture is not evidence of consciousness
The implementation of these processes does not by itself establish the presence of consciousness.
EIDAWARE distinguishes between architectural realization, functional behaviour and phenomenal claims. Determining whether and how these levels may be related remains part of the research programme.
